AUSTIN, TEXAS — Oklahoma State topped Texas 4-1 Sunday at McCombs Field to earn its fifth Big 12 series win of the year.
Vanessa Shippy powered the Cowgirls with a 2-for-4 effort at the plate, including a single in the fourth inning that drove in two runs and gave OSU a 3-1 lead.
Whitney Whitehorn drove in OSU's fourth run of the day with a two-out double into the right-center gap in the fifth inning. It was Whitehorn's third RBI of the series after driving in a pair during Friday's doubleheader.
Samantha Clakley pitched her second complete game of the series as she allowed just six hits and struck out three.
