STILLWATER — A stop in Los Angeles was among the 11 workouts for NBA teams that Oklahoma State guard Jeffrey Carroll endured in the weeks leading up to Thursday's NBA Draft. There, he met Magic Johnson, Hall of Fame point guard and the Lakers' president of basketball operations, and posed for a photo. After the workout, a coach told Carroll, “I would honestly be shocked if you don't get drafted."
Carroll wasn't, but the Lakers clearly liked what they saw. After Carroll went unselected in the two rounds of the NBA Draft, he signed an Exhibit 10 deal with Los Angeles, per The Athletic's Michael Scotto.
