Carlson: Why OSU football has a clearer path to a Big 12 title now

Mike Gundy and his Cowboys had no game Saturday.

No practice.

No meetings.

But it was still eventful — the road to a Big 12 title opened even wider for OSU.

Iowa State and Kansas State, expected to struggle after season-opening losses to Sun Belt opponents, aren’t nearly as bad.
