Oklahoma women's basketball nabbed a commitment from a 2021 class hometown athlete.
Norman’s Kelbie Washington announced her commitment to the Sooners Wednesday morning via Twitter. She thanked her friends, family and coaches for their support throughout the process, tweeting she looks forward to playing at the highest level and being successful at home.
“I want to thank my high school basketball team for being my sisters,” Washington wrote on Twitter. “And always being there for me through thick and thin.”
The 5-foot-7 junior point guard averaged 15.3 points, 4.3 assists and 4.0 rebounds in the 2019-20 season for Norman High.
