OU football: Sooners aiding Missouri State testing

For now, OU is doing what it can to keep its schedule intact, especially the Aug. 29 opener against Missouri State.

OU athletic director Joe Castiglione said his conversations with Bears athletic director Kyle Moats, going back to June, have included discussions about testing protocols. Eventually, a plan was reached to help Missouri State with testing its football players in the lead-up to the game.

Castiglione said OU committed to providing testing kits to Missouri State as well as lab services. The services would ensure that the test results were back within 24 hours.

“It felt like we can’t get any more specific than both of us using the exact sams testing approach,” Castiglione said.
