Oklahoma football stays at No. 3 in both human polls

The top five spots remained unchanged for Week 5 in the Associated Press Top 25, voted on by the media, as well as the Coaches Poll.

The Sooners avoided the fate suffered by their in-state rival Oklahoma State, which began the day on Saturday ranked No. 6 in the AP Top 25, but fell victim at home to No. 16 TCU, which replaced the Cowboys in the top 10 this week, sliding into the No. 9 spot. Oklahoma State dropped nine positions, to No. 15 in the AP poll.

Oklahoma let a 17-point first half advantage disappear against a Baylor team that played its best game of the season against the Sooners, and then almost allowed an 18-point second-half lead get away, but held on to win by eight and keep their unbeaten 2017 record and 14-game winning streak in tact.
