BOSTON — Celtics staff members gave a friendly nod to Abdel Nader as they passed him in the narrow hallway outside the Thunder’s locker room.
Nader had changed since his one-season stint in Boston. His 17 minutes Sunday in the Thunder’s 105-104 win against the Celtics were proof.
“He’s a guy that you could put in the game and impact winning because he can shoot it, he can drive it,” Celtics coach Brad Stevens said. “And then he’s a long, athletic guy that cares, and that usually adds up to a pretty good defender as well.”
Nader shot 2-of-2 from behind the arc Sunday.
