Paul George locked eyes with an Oklahoma City-based reporter as he answered his question about Russell Westbrook’s ninth straight triple-double.
“I think that’s probably the only positive we’ve heard about Russ coming from you, honestly,” George said in the middle of a media scrum at the Toyota Center in February. “So, I’ll tell you thank you for that.”
He pursed his lips and let the silence sit.
It was the most frustration the oft-gracious George had shown with the media all season. His reaction wasn't malicious, but he wasn't going to tip-toe around his support for Westbrook.
