Ohio State's E.J. Liddell Named One of 15 Candidates for the Wooden Award

E.J. Liddell is in the final 15 for one of college basketball's most prestigious individual awards.

Liddell was named Saturday as one of 15 candidates for this year's Wooden Award, which honors college basketball's best player. He's the only player on the award's national ballot who was not on previous editions of the award's watch list this year.

Going into Saturday's final game of the regular season against Illinois, Liddell leads Ohio State with 15.9 points per game, 6.7 rebounds per game and 26 blocks. The sophomore forward has led the way for Ohio State to go 18-7 in its first 25 games of the year.
