Ohio State Uses Only Four Substitutes on Defense As Buckeyes Stifle Michigan, 27-9

Ohio State used just four substitutes on defense against Michigan. It didn’t need to use any more.

The Buckeyes’ defense was on the field for only 44 plays as Ohio State stifled Michigan, holding the Wolverines to three field goals, no touchdowns and just 163 yards of offense. Eight of Ohio State’s defensive starters – notably, including defensive ends Kenyatta Jackson Jr. and Caden Curry – were on the field for all 44 of those plays in Ohio State’s 27-9 win.

Offensively, Ohio State rotated a bit more as the Buckeyes ran 73 plays and used four running backs, six wide receivers and five tight ends.
