Ohio State hit the ground running on the recruiting trail Monday. After securing verbal commitment number 12 in their 2022 recruiting class, the Buckeyes quickly turned their focus towards the 2023 recruiting class.
While Ohio State was able to get off to a quick head start with the 2022 recruiting class, the program has yet to earn a commitment from the 2023 class. In comparison, Ohio State had three verbal commitments in its 2022 class at this point last year.
However, this trend is common across the college football landscape mainly in part to the recruiting dead period from the COVID-19 pandemic.
