Entering the season, USC quarterback Sam Darnold was one of the favorites to win the 2017 Heisman Trophy.
While he won't win the stiff-armed trophy this year, the Trojan gunslinger – who is a projected top-five pick in the upcoming 2018 NFL Draft should he choose to declare – has a chance to put together a second consecutive outstanding bowl performance.
Darnold's national coming-out party came in the 2017 Rose Bowl, when the USC quarterback threw for 453 yards and five touchdowns in a 52-49 win over Penn State.
This season, Darnold's numbers have dipped a bit.
