Well, that didn’t take long. it hasn’t even been a week and a half since Kerry Coombs officially rejoined the Ohio State Buckeyes coaching staff, and he has already nailed down a very important part of OSU’s 2020 recruiting class.
Though he officially committed on July 4, 2019, four-star athlete — and projected defensive back — Cameron Martinez did not sign with the Buckeyes during last month’s early signing period, as it was just days after Jeff Hafley announced that he would be leaving Columbus to take the head coaching position at Boston College.
That left a void as to who Martinez’s position coach would be, and a question as to whether the Gatorade Michigan Football Player of the Year would actually ever become a Buckeye or not.
