It’s a short week for the Raiders. They are coming off their first preseason game on Saturday and will turn around and play the Cardinals on Thursday. Unlike during the regular season when they would try to cram in two or three practices, the Raiders took a day off Sunday, had just a walk-thru on Monday and went with the one practice Tuesday prior to their travel day tomorrow.
No veteran starters played in the first preseason game, but that could change when the team heads to Arizona.
“[W]e’re going to try to get a couple of starters some work in Arizona,” said Gruden.
