Raiders place first-round pick Gareon Conley on injured reserve

The Raiders placed cornerback and first-round pick Gareon Conley on injured reserve Monday, ending his season.

Conley had not played since Week 3 due to a shin injury. ESPN first reported the move, which the Raiders later announced. The Raiders also reinstated defensive tackle Darius Latham from the reserve/suspended list to take Conley’s spot on the active roster.

Conley, the 24th overall pick in the 2017 draft out of Ohio State, missed training camp, preseason and Week 1 with the shin injury. He made his NFL debut in Week 2 against the Jets and played in one more game before encountering a setback.
