Raiders Place First-Round CB Gareon Conley On Injured Reserve

Field Yates of ESPN reports that the Raiders have placed first-round pick CB Gareon Conley on injured reserve Monday, ending his 2017 season.

Conley, 21, was selected with the No. 21 overall pick by the Raiders in this year’s NFL draft. Conley was considered to be one of the top cornerbacks in this year’s draft class with an opportunity to be the first player at his position to come off the board.

However, reports surfaced that he was facing rape allegations just a few days before the draft, which led to questions as to whether he would even be drafted.
