Shortly before kickoff at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, the Oakland Raiders have announced the names of nine players that will not dress for the team’s preseason opener against the Arizona Cardinals on Saturday night.
A few of these names do not come as a surprise. Rookie cornerback Gareon Conley mentioned on Friday evening that he would not be playing in the preseason opener. This has to do with a combination of him not being on the practice field due to off-the-field issues and reportedly shin splints.
Another big time player that will not play in Saturday night’s game against the Cardinals is two-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Amari Cooper.
