A thin secondary got even thinner for the Kansas City Chiefs Wednesday morning when Head Coach Andy Reid announced that he was suspending cornerback Marcus Peters for Sunday’s game against the Oakland Raiders.
The one-game suspension of the All-Pro cornerback comes on the heels of him throwing a penalty flag into the stands in the final moments of the Chiefs Week 13 loss to the New York Jets.
“I’m not really going to get into the whole thing there, but I did what I thought was best for the Chiefs, and that’s how I try to go about my business,” said Reid on a conference call with the Bay Area media shortly after announcing the suspension.
