OAKLAND — Giorgio Tavecchio’s first missed field goal of the season wasn’t even close.

Eric Murray darted inside as Tavecchio lined up from 53 yards. The Chiefs’ defensive back deflected the ball with his left hand. It fluttered downfield and landed at the 5-yard line.

Tavecchio had made his first nine field-goal attempts of the season. Under the primetime lights on Thursday night, he missed twice. Once from 53 and once from 45, when his second-quarter attempt drifted wide left. Despite nailing the game-winning extra point to give the Raiders (3-4) a 31-30 win over the Chiefs (5-2), Tavecchio had a night to forget.
