When Marshawn Lynch ran onto the field during the second quarter of Thursday night’s game in Oakland, it was in an attempt to get between his offensive line teammates and his friend Marcus Peters. In the process he ended up grabbing an official, getting kicked out of the game, and slapped with a one-game suspension.
The scuffle came about after Peters laid a late hit on defenseless Derek Carr whose forward progress had already been stopped. This naturally drew the anger of Raiders’ offensive linemen Kelechi Osemele and Donald Penn.
