The game of defensive backs carousel between the Raiders and Chiefs continues. Today the Chiefs officially signed former Raiders cornerback David Amerson, a little over a week after the Raiders released him.
The deal is for one year and worth as much as $6 million according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Amerson had been claimed by the Raiders off waivers from Washington early in the 2015 season. He ended that season second in the league in passes defended (29) only to his new teammate, Marcus Peters. That earned Amerson an extension that offseason.
