Unfortunately for fans of drama and intrigue, the Antonio Brown circus appears to be coming to a close. Reports about the Raiders' star wide receiver potentially threatening to retire over a helmet twisted fans into a tizzy last week. All the while Brown himself remained silent, never really directly addressing any of the zany reports issuing from the fingertips of respected NFL reporters Mike Silver and Adam Schefter.
Brown was on the field prior to the Raiders' Thursday night preseason victory over the Arizona Cardinals, but did not play. After the game, he discussed the media coverage of the retirement threat with a scrum of reporters.
