A year after the Raiders made Derek Carr the highest paid player in NFL history, the next quarterback taken in that same draft takes the mantle. The 49ers have signed Jimmy Garoppolo to a 5-year, $137.5 million deal according to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo who apparently got the scoop because their last names are practically the same.
