#Raiders coach Jack Del Rio says QB Derek Carr has a broken fibula and will have surgery tomorrow. He's out indefinitely. Crushing.— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) December 25, 2016
Carr will miss the playoffs with the injury. Backup Matt McGloin will start in his absence.
Oakland holds sole possession of the No. 2 seed in the AFC picture with a 12-3 record, and can clinch that spot by winning next Sunday or if they Chiefs lose one of their remaining two games.
Carr was a leading MVP candidate coming into this game, but he is now likely out of the running. He passed for 228 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions before leaving with the injury, bringing his season totals to 3,933 yards and 28 touchdowns with six interceptions.Back to the Oakland Raiders Newsfeed
