Raiders News: OL Khalif Barnes Signs One-Year Contract Extension

Oakland Raiders offensive lineman Khalif Barnes is currently in his sixth year with the team. However, despite that longevity, Barnes has consistently played on one-year contracts, including this year's $1.85 million deal.

Per Scott Bair of CSN Bay Area, "on Saturday, he agreed to terms on a pact for next season. The Raiders offered a one-year contract extension for next season, a team spokesman confirmed."

At the time of this writing, details of the contract were not made available to the press.

Barnes has been a flexible presence on the team's offensive line for his time in Oakland. Despite being an offensive tackle by trade, Barnes has moved inside to guard at times when the Raiders have deemed in necessary or injuries have forced their hands.

The latter will be the case when Barnes starts at guard for the second straight game on Sunday, filling in for an injured Gabe Jackson at the left guard spot.
