Raiders NFL Draft Rumors: All The Names To Watch Heading Into Friday's Day Two

The Oakland Raiders added perhaps the most explosive offensive weapon in the 2015 NFL Draft on Thursday, selecting dynamic Alabama wide receiver Amari Cooper with the #4 pick.

The intrigue doesn't end there, however, as there's plenty of fun to come in Friday's rounds two and three. Here's the latest Raiders NFL Draft rumors coming out of Chicago.

Raiders a fit for Randy Gregory?

Nebraska’s Randy Gregory slid out of the first round following a failed a drug test at the NFL Combine last month. However, the talented 6-foot-5, 235-pound defensive end remains a top-10 overall talent in the eyes of many draft experts and could be an instant defensive spark for Oakland if he drops to them at #35.

Per the SF Chronicle's Vic Tafur, "back at the NFL combine, Gregory told The Chronicle he felt “there was a connection” in his 30-minute interview with (head coach Jack) Del Rio."

That "connection" could facilitate the end of Gregory's NFL Draft slide.

Other names to watch

The Raiders appear to be heavily focused on adding an impact pass rusher in round two. If Gregory is gone or the Raiders decide to pass on him, here's some other names to watch, according to Vic Tafur:

Virginia outside linebacker Eli Harold also has some pass-rush upside, as does Mississippi State defensive end Preston Smith, UCLA defensive end Owamagbe Odighizuwa and Utah outside linebacker Nate Orchard.

If the Raiders solely went by best player available and didn’t want to roll the dice on Gregory, an argument could be made for big Alabama safety Landon Collins. An excellent run defender, he was projected to go in the first round. There is some debate whether or not he will wind up as an outside linebacker.
