Oakland Raiders Staying Positive Despite Winless Start To 2014 NFL Season

If you think the Oakland Raiders are all doom and gloom in the wake of an 0-9 start to the 2014 NFL season, think again.

In advance of the team's AFC West showdown with the San Diego Chargers on Sunday. Raiders players remained loose and congenial in the locker room at Qualcomm Stadium on Saturday.

"We're pros, man," wide receiver James Jones said, via Jerry McDonald of the Bay Area News Group. "I wish we were 9-0, but you've got to go to work and have a positive attitude every time you come out here. The only thing that is going to change it is us."

The Raiders are remaining upbeat despite the sobering reality of the franchise's current 15-game losing streak. A loss to the Chargers would guarantee a one calendar year span between the Raiders' last win (28-23 over the Houston Texans last November 17th) and their next one.

Veteran Justin Tuck knows that it's on them and them alone to get things back on the winning track.

"Nobody's going to feel sorry for us, and we're damned sure not going to feel sorry for ourselves," Tuck said.
