OAKLAND — An 8-3 loss to the Texas Rangers wasn’t indicative of the season these A’s had at home.
“It’s been great, the entire season really with walk offs, all the dramatics here,” manager Bob Melvin said. “Would have been more apropos of us if we could finish it off with a win today, but we didn’t so that’s a little bit disappointing. But this time of year, we’ll take a series win, but we’re trying to win every possible game we can.”
The A’s, all clad in their favorite football jerseys, boarded the plane for Los Angeles right after the loss.
