CEDAR FALLS, Ia. — Jeremy Morgan had his mom floored.
The date read June 27, 2012, and Cris Morgan figured it was just another routine visit. She and her son had trekked to Cedar Falls multiple times in recent weeks after Jeremy landed a Northern Iowa offer — his first — in mid-April. Others quickly followed, as the soon-to-be senior morphed into a seriously coveted prospect in a matter of weeks.
Still, Cris expected nothing out of the ordinary in the latest Ben Jacobson sitdown.
“(Coach Jacobson) said, ‘Jeremy’s the whole package. He’s a great kid — a good academic student — and on top of that, he happens to be a good basketball player,’” she detailed.
