What we learned from UNI's 77-68 overtime win over UNLV

CEDAR FALLS, Ia. — In one of its premier matchups of the nonconference slate, Northern Iowa delivered nine straight points in overtime to pull away from previously unbeaten UNLV 77-68 on Wednesday night at the McLeod Center.

With its guards stuck in a scoring funk, UNI’s veteran frontcourt shouldered the offensive load and propelled the Panthers to a key victory. Redshirt senior forwards Bennett Koch and Klint Carlson poured in 30 and 23 points, respectively, and we both instrumental down the stretch.

The Rebels owned their largest lead of the game at 59-55 with 3:46 to play before UNI ripped off a late regulation surge.
