CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – After excelling on the gridiron and in the classroom this season, Northern Iowa junior running back Marcus Weymiller earned CoSIDA Academic All-District honors, the organization announced Thursday.
First Team Academic All-District honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America Team ballot, with the list of Academic All-America recipients being announced later in December.
Weymiller's 3.96 GPA was the fourth-highest for District 6 honorees, while ranking as the highest among running backs across all districts in Division I. The junior is political science major at UNI, earning a spot on the honor roll each season.
