CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - The University of Northern Iowa men's basketball jumped out to a 15-0 lead and cruised to an 80-47 victory over the Dubuque Spartans on Sunday in the McLeod Center.
UNI (8-2 overall) won its sixth straight home game as the Panthers drained 12 three-pointers and shot 48.2 percent from the floor. Dubuque (5-4 overall) was limited to 26.9 percent shooting from the field. UNI won the rebounding battle, 45-34. The Panthers had 14 players score and 15 players tally a rebound in the victory in front of 3,212 fans in the McLeod Center.
