CLARKSVILLE, Tennessee - The University of Northern Iowa volleyball squad earned its second win of the day at the Culver's Governors Challenge with a 3-0 sweep of Middle Tennessee State.
UNI (2-0 overall) won by set scores of 25-10, 25-11, 25-20.
UNI junior Piper Thomas put on a spectacular performance with 13 kills and a .765 hitting percentage. Thomas added five digs and four blocks to lead the Panthers to the three-set victory.
The Panthers jumped out early with a dominant 25-10 victory in the opening set. UNI hit .609 in the opening set with 15 kills and one attack error.
