CARBONDALE, Ill. - The University of Northern Iowa men's basketball team rallied from a 12-point deficit in the final eight minutes to score a 58-57 road win over the Southern Illinois Salukis.
UNI (8-11 overall, 3-5 MVC) won its third straight game overall and its first on the road this season. UNI had four players in double-figures with Jordan Ashton leading the way with 14 points.
SIU (11-10 overall, 4-4 MVC) held a 54-42 lead after a Mike Rodriguez three-pointer with 8:22 left in the game. But the Panthers limited the Salukis to only one other made field goal in the closing eight minutes.
