CEDAR FALLS, Ia. — Ben Jacobson has often stressed how valuable senior leadership is within his Northern Iowa program.
Jeremy Morgan thrived in that role last season as the Panthers’ lone senior who had been in the program more than one year. But Morgan is gone, now trying to make it in the NBA, and how successfully redshirt seniors Bennett Koch and Klint Carlson fill that void will have a significant impact on how the Panthers fare in a potential bounce-back season.
“There was some leadership that was put on them last year as well, and I think that’s helped them,” Jacobson said Wednesday during the team’s annual media day.
