TERRE HAUTE, Indiana – The University of Northern Iowa women's basketball team (12-11, 8-4 MVC) scored a 56-46 victory over Indiana State (8-14, 6-5 MVC) on Friday night as the Panthers completed the season sweep over the Sycamores.
UNI led by as much as 19 points in the third quarter after going on a 22-0 run, but the Sycamores cut the deficit to one possession with 2:34 remaining in the game. UNI regained control of the contest down the stretch, after Kennedy Kirkpatrick scored six points to seal UNI's 56-46 road win.
