CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – Rickey Neal Jr. earned his second spot on a preseason national team with today's announcement of the 2018 Phil Steele FCS All-America Teams.
The senior linebacker was named to the second team. Neal also earned national preseason honors with a spot on the 2018 STATS FCS Preseason All-America team on the third team and was named to the first team on the MVFC's Preseason All-Conference Team.
Neal made 10 starts for UNI last year as a defensive end. He led the Missouri Valley Football Conference in sacks with 9.
