CEDAR FALLS, Ia. — Looking to bolster its backcourt, Northern Iowa has dipped into the transfer market.
The Panthers have landed Pepperdine freshman transfer Trae Berhow, a 6-foot-5, 195-pound guard who started 28 games and averaged 10 points per contest last season. Berhow will sit for the 2018-19 season and have three years of eligibility remaining.
Although Berhow ventured out to California to start, he is originally from Watertown, Minnesota, and will be closer to home base in Cedar Falls. Watertown sits just west of Minneapolis, about 250 miles from the McLeod Center.
According to his Twitter page, Berhow’s final six schools coming out of high school were Drake, Northern Illinois, Boston University, Pacific, St.
