ST. LOUIS--Katie Taylor has been named swimmer of the week, as announced by the Missouri Valley Conference.
At the Kansas Classic this weekend, Taylor dominated the pool, earning three first-place finishes and a second place finish individually. Taylor swam a 2:01.33 in the 200 IM, a 4:17.72 in the 400 IM and tied her record in the 200 backstroke at 1:57.20. Taylor was just shy of first-place in the 100 backstroke, swimming a 54.73. Taylor was also named the Kansas Classic Most Valuable Swimmer and to the All-Invite Team. Taylor was a member of all relay teams, earning Top-3 finishes in each and a first-place finish in the 400 freestyle relay, swimming with Crystal Florman, Abby Meyer, and Molly Lembezeder.
