WICHITA, Kan., - The University of Northern Iowa men's basketball team came out on the short end of a 73-44 decision to the Wichita State Shockers on Saturday at Koch Arena.
UNI (14-13 overall, 9-7 MVC) shot 27.5 percent from the floor, which included a 4-of-19 mark from three-point land, against the Shockers. Wichita State (25-4, 15-1 MVC) outrebounded the Panthers, 48-23.
The Shockers bounced out to a 14-4 advantage less than four minutes into the contest. The Shockers led by 12 at the break, 38-26.
UNI started the second half on a 6-0 run to cut the WSU lead to 38-32 with 16:43 left in the game.
