WATERLOO, Iowa--The University of Northern Iowa women's soccer team moved to a 5-0 to start the season for the first time in school history, as they played host to Kansas State.
The Wildcats fell 2-2-1 after winning two straight matches.
Senior Haley Kerns (Gilbert, Iowa) grabbed her first goal as a Panther and got the Panthers on the board late in the first period. Kerns would be the only Panther to score and was unassisted.
"We played as well as we did on Friday and the second game of a weekend series is tough," commented UNI head coach Bruce Erickson.
