LAS VEGAS – The University of Northern Iowa softball team faced a fierce battle against the University of Nevada Las Vegas, as they kicked off the DeMarini Classic.
In the first, UNI started off strong as Brittney Roby was the first to reach home due to an error on UNLV's catcher. Courtney Krodinger was quick to follow after a hit to right field by Sammey Bunch was able to bring her round the bases.
