NORMAL, Illinois – The University of Northern Iowa women's basketball team (10-10, 6-3 MVC) used a dominant second-half to score a 58-36 victory over Illinois State (8-12, 2-7 MVC) to close out a successful weekend on the road.
The Panthers and Redbirds were tied at halftime, but UNI outscored ILS 34-12 in the second half to earn a 22-point victory.
With the win, UNI has now won back-to-back road games for the first time this season. Before the weekend road trip, the Panthers were winless away from the McLeod Center in MVC play.
