CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – After scoring a career-high 24 points off the bench to lead the University of Northern Iowa women's basketball team past Kansas State, senior Kennedy Kirkpatrick was named the Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday.
The honor for Kirkpatrick is the first of her career, while the MVC POW award is UNI's first since Madison Weekly earned the distinction after the Panthers downed No. 24 KSU at home last season.
Against the Wildcats this season, Kirkpatrick scored a career-high 24 points off the bench to lead the Panthers to a road win over the Power-5, 72-71.
