CEDAR FALLS, Ia. — Drake and No. 25-ranked Northern Iowa both left the McLeod Center volleyball court with 18-5 records Tuesday.
But other than that, there aren't many similarities between the programs.
Northern Iowa's Bri Weber smashed 21 kills, leading four players in double digits, and the Panthers swept Drake 25-14, 25-17, 25-15.
Both teams are in pursuit of the Missouri Valley Conference lead. They were tied for second place in the league at 7-1 before the match.
While Drake has already won the most matches since 2010, when the team went 23-11, Northern Iowa's domination of Tuesday's meeting showed there's still a gap between the programs.
