CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – After a stellar weekend on the links, Northern Iowa senior men's golfer Sam DeBartolo was named the Missouri Valley Conference Co-Men's Golfer of the Week by the league office on Thursday.
The honor for UNI men's golf is the first weekly MVC player award since Sept. 24, 2014 when Glenn Walls claimed the accolade. The senior Panther shares the MVC achievement with Bradley's Ethan Bruce, who also earned medalist honors over the weekend.
DeBartolo had a fantastic showing at the UNO Invitational last weekend, capturing medalist honors to lead the Panthers.
