FORT COLLINS, Co.—The University of Northern Iowa women's soccer team (1-0-2) secured their first win of the season against Colorado State (1-1-2).
Freshman Sophia Conant scored her first goal as a Panther in the 87th minute, placing the ball on the inside of the goal. Conant led the Panthers in shots (2), playing 26 minutes in the match.
Colorado State was on the attack during the game, placing 16 shots in front of the Panther goal. Jami Reichenberger led the defensive effort by the Panthers, deflecting six of the Rams shots.
