UNI (12-10) got the only runs it needed in the top of the fourth on a two-run Anna Varriano single that plated Macey Wolfe and pinch runner Tianna Drah.
In its second game of the day, Louisville took advantage of some rough defensive play to score seven unearned runs and led 7-0 after four innings.
The Panthers scored four times in the top of the fifth to make it 7-4, but that was as close as UNI got.
Jaci Spencer went 3-for-3 with a RBI and run-scored, while Brittney Krodinger had a two-run double in the fifth for the Panthers.
