FARGO, N.D. -- Northern Iowa rolled into its game with second-ranked North Dakota State Saturday with a quiet confidence following back-to-back wins over top ten opponents.
After losing 30-14, getting outscored 23-7 in the second half in the process, it was quiet ride of reflection on the way back to Cedar Falls.
UNI not only got beat, but it lost its composure in the second half committing a pair of personal fouls late in the game out of frustration, not hard play.
The loss dropped the Panthers to 4-4 overall and 3-2 in the Missouri Valley Conference with seventh-ranked South Dakota (7-1, 4-1) invading the UNI-Dome this Saturday.
