SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – claimed Missouri Valley Conference Freshman of the Year honors on Saturday, while her Northern Iowa teammates finished just shy of repeating as league champions at the MVC Championships.
Cole finished 10 overall at the MVC Championships to claim UNI's second-consecutive Freshman of the Year honor, joining who won the award last season.
As a team, the Panther women had six runners claim top-25 finishes, as and Cole earned All-Conference honors after coming in ninth and 10th overall respectively. The UNI men finished seventh overall, with two top-30 individual finishes.
